Akfen Holding has been a contributor, since 2011, of Abdullah Gül University Support Fund which was founded to help Abdullah Gül University embrace a position as foreseen by its vision and to reduce the obligations of the public in the field of training and education. The Foundation’s sole aim is to support and reward the successful students, and to provide all kinds of support for satisfying the economic, social and cultural needs of the academic and administrational staff. Besides, supporting the physical and technological infrastructure of the University to further advance its educational, research and practical opportunities is also among the objectives of the Foundation.
London School of Economics
Founding Turkey departments in major international universities is an important constituent of our country’s promotion policy. Such departments are important for promoting the Turkish history and culture as well as making our approach to the current events clear in the international arena. Accordingly, “Modern Turkey Research Department” was recently established at London School of Economics, one of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions, with the initiative of the Republic of Turkey Foreign Ministry. Pelin Akın acts as the member of this Department’s Consultation Board in the name of Akfen, which holds a permanent seat in the Board. Akfen is happy to support such an important project for the promotion of Turkey.
